EVERYTHING YOU WANT FROM A GRINDING WHEEL: REMOVE, THE UNIVERSAL SOLUTION FOR DRY SQUARING PORCELAIN STONEWARE
REMOVE is the new “universal” grinding wheel designed by International Chips for dry squaring porcelain, technical and glazed stoneware with the aid of the know-how synergies and testing capabilities available within the Surfaces Group.

The result is a new Grinding Wheel concept, now presented to the market: REMOVE, a truly universal wheel thanks to outstanding performances that guarantee:

“We ourselves were amazed by the results achieved during testing,” states Paolo Besati, CEO of International Chips. “We didn’t expect such high performances and the feedback exceeded our expectations: REMOVE does exactly what you want it to do, and keeps doing it over time. It delivers very high stock removal rates, unusual for resin-bond wheels, and it works to excellent standards with the same settings for exceptionally long times, with no need for new adjustments, and with no reduction in sharpness.”
“Usually a grinding wheel of this kind is used at high speeds, and operating temperatures are between 50° and 70°,” Paolo Besati continued, “but we also used this wheel on extra-thick materials, which require much slower speeds since the amount for removal is much greater. In these cases, working temperatures reached up to 120°, but the REMOVE wheel kept on functioning efficiently. Usually, with standard grinding wheels, at such high temperatures the binder melts, losing sharpness and diamond as well. REMOVE maintains its sharpness and its self-sharpening capability.”
It is undoubtedly an innovation, not comparable with any other type of grinding wheel.

It reduces the need for operator intervention when plant settings change, simplifying control procedures. It also optimises production, in terms of increased productivity levels, because it guarantees higher stock removal rates than other grinding wheels, thanks to its high percentage of bare, extremely sharp diamond, and its lifetime is 20-30% above average.
REMOVE is finally available on the market and comes in a single Grinding Wheel type in the HS – HT – HZ variants depending on grain.
