Surfaces Group also provides an exclusive, highly differentiated Pre-and Post-Treatment Technical Service and is a single contact for all parts of the production process, able to supply strongly customised solutions.
Surfaces derives its strength from its group, with its ability to deliver highly flexible specific answers for every production step: there are about 10 different types of tool for every processing phase.
INNOVATION QUARTZ can be completely customised to the production line and provides the ideal tools for every single process.
The process overall consists of 5 phases:
- Side squaring
- Surface calibration
- Polishing
- Glossy finishing
- Surface protection
Specific ADI, Luna Abrasivi, Vincent and NoCoat tools and treatments are available for every one of them.
The tests performed have given impressive results, confirming that the INNOVATION QUARTZ line tools are the essential aids for the brushed and velvet finishing of surfaces with major porosity problems.
The result is engineered quartz slabs with a very high gloss level, with a previously unthinkable improvement on current standards and a highly competitive process: in spite of the high stock removal rate, there are no shadow zones and the risk of scorching is low.
The efficient but non-aggressive tools close the surface effectively and retain its bright colour.
The fickert duration is also excellent, while the multiple geometries available and the option of matrices and binders with different combinations of polymers, quartz and cristobalite means the best solution can be chosen for all needs, reducing the risk of surface scratching.
Surfaces Group, increasingly focused on modulating its offering to ensure sustainability, has also developed environment-friendly solutions for this specific range, reflecting its constant research into the production of tools free from pollutant elements such as nickel and cobalt.
The NoCoat B-Clean treatment completes the package by protecting the surface and perfectly closing its pores. Water-repellent and fingerprint-resistant, it protects against invasive stains such as coffee, tea, oil and wine. NoCoat also offers antibacterial treatment for a protection and safety upgrade.
