CONFIRMED BY TESTS: FLAT REFLEX POLISHING SYSTEM IS THE UNIVERSAL SOLUTION FOR TECHNICAL AND GLAZED PORCELAIN
A genuine revolution: producers no longer need different lines for different products, one for conventional and one for the new application processes.
The multifunctional Flat Reflex Polishing System combines tradition and innovation, improving the quality and quantity of production process output. Thanks to the competitive advantages provided by Surfaces Group, which unites the Italian leaders in surface finishing of excellence.
In line with the latest technological applications in the surface finishing of technical and glazed porcelain, Surfaces Group has developed process solutions with performances far superior to those of conventional systems. Thanks to the reduced thickness removal required, yields from slab surface processing are higher in terms of quality (degree of gloss and perfection of finish) and quantity (high production process efficiency and lower costs).

This is the team of Surfaces Group tools for creating the ideal sequence to meet all technical and glazed porcelain processing needs. A succession of specific tools, tailored to the production process, is available for all thickness removal, calibration, surface preparation, finishing and glossy finishing phases. The tools change, but the plant remains the same. A ground-breaking development, achieved through the best targeted synergies and meticulous testing to prove the validity of the approach.
The benefits of the Flat Reflex Polishing System are:
Flexibility, allowing diversified production processes, continuing to produce the most traditional, mass-market products while introducing new solutions destined to enjoy major expansion in the future, such as slabs for furnishings or wall coverings in both slim and extra-thick versions.
This technology enables the processing of different types of porcelain in different sizes and thicknesses from slim to the thickest (up to 8-10 mm), thanks to the interchangeable tools.
Quality of gleam. Tools are selected and set to deliver the required results: perfectly flat, even, polished surfaces even for XL sizes and for any thickness. With this technology, slabs thicker than the marble equivalent can be processed with no reduction in productivity, thanks to the high removal capacity in terms of both volume and area.
Productivity. The enhanced output quality goes hand-in-hand with an increase in productivity of at least 20-30%. A direct comparison between the specific technologies reveals the sharp improvement in performance.
In a conventional technical porcelain polishing process, output is 3,000/3,500 m2 per day, with removal of about 1 mm required to achieve a gloss of 60/65 units.
The technical porcelain polishing process with the new Flat Reflex Polishing System is able to produce 7,000/8,000 m2 per day, achieving a gloss of 90/100 units with thickness removal of just 0.2/0.3 mm, thanks to the perfect teamwork and high efficiency of the Surfaces Group’s synergistic tools.
