FLAT REFLEX FINISHING SYSTEM is the new Surfaces Group technology for treating technical (unglazed) and glazed Porcelain Stoneware. The specific interaction between the different brands allows the achievement of perfectly flat surfaces with a gloss finish and a uniform polished gleam. At the same time, productivity is increased with the same output of lapped finish product per m2 processed, with high quality maintained.
FLAT REFLEX FINISHING SYSTEM allows processing to be modulated to the line’s production, by combining the specific tools with machinery of all kinds: it is easily adapted to systems with tangential heads plus cylindrical or planetary heads and selects the use of the most suitable tools, from diamond metal Full Fickerts to diamond resin-bond types, and from metal cylindrical to resin-bond grinding wheels.
It ensures uniform processing on different sizes, including extra-large slabs or counter tops, a higher level of stock removal in short times, and longer tool lifetime. It selects the tools fitted for the various processing phases, from stock removal to actual finishing, with no breaks in production.
For Technical Porcelain stoneware, the process involves 4 steps with the use of:
- LUNA ABRASIVI metal Full Fickerts for the main stock removal phase
- ADI planetary and/or cylindrical grinding wheels for the sizing phase
- SURFACES TECHNOLOGICAL ABRASIVES Full Fickerts for preparing for finishing
- LUNA ABRASIVI Full Fickerts for final finishing and polishing processes
For Glazed Porcelain stoneware, since less stock removal is required, only the 2 final steps are necessary, with:
- SURFACES TECHNOLOGICAL ABRASIVES Full Fickerts for preparing for finishing
- LUNA ABRASIVI Full Fickerts for final finishing and polishing processes.
